First, I've never owned one, nor have I had a desire to own one. This article points out that the Executive branch has NO authority to ban anything. Any law banning a firearm, or anything else, unconstitutional as that may be, must come from Congress. The constitution gives the Executive branch NO authority to ban anything. But these days, separation of powers is ignored and meaningless. DC does whatever the hell it wants.
