Court martialed for Bible verse

What country am I living in?  It surely is not the country I grew up in where freedom was paramount and we respected everyone's right to say what they wanted, even if we did not respect what they had to say.  We're seeing what occurs when leftist ideology takes hold.  Although liberals preach tolerance, they have no tolerance for those that hold views opposed to their own.

To hear stories of military meembers whom risk their lives to protect our country being persecuted for their Christian beliefs is beyond acceptable.  Political correctness based on liberal ideology is destroying this country from within.  Christianity is the majority religion in the U.S., but the liberal stranglehold on our government and education systems is prohibiting any reference to God or the bible.

From an email I received from the ACLJ:

A Christian woman in the military has been court martialed for her faith.
Marine Lance Corporal Sterling was convicted over a Bible verse.

She placed the verse, "No weapon formed against me shall prosper," (Isaiah 54:17) on her desk.

Her commanding officer told her to take down the Bible verse, calling it a profanity that we will not repeat here.

When she refused to comply with this unbelievably unlawful order, the officer threw the verse in the trash and had her court martialed.

Even worse, the court held that a Bible verse isn't protected "religious exercise."

It's not only absurd; it's dangerous for religious liberty in the military.

Now the case is in federal appeals court, and we're fighting back.

In just days, we're preparing to file a critical amicus brief to aggressively defend the religious liberty of those who defend our freedoms.

We're representing key Members of Congress, and we need you to join us.
