Violence. It’s in the news almost every day. There are three stories of violence below that left a teacher in the hospital and an ER doctor dead. These stories are shocking to us. They show us how the radical left has changed our country and the way people think, feel, and act.
The majority of Americans, especially those raised in suburbs, have never experienced violence. Maybe we’ve experienced a playground argument that turned into a fist fight, but even that is rare. We’re raised & taught that fighting is wrong and violence is abhorrent. Unless you’ve had the misfortune to grow up in an inner city where drug use, drug sales, prostitution and sex trafficking are the daily norm, you don’t know what it’s like to experience violence as a way of life. And that’s a very good thing.
But it also means that we’ve been taught to be passive and not fight back. We’ve watched and allowed Protifa (with the help of their Demonrats and media allies) to execute violence that would make Hitler’s Brown Shirts proud. People on a NY subway have watched a women being raped and have done nothing to intervene. People are more interested in filming violence than stepping in to protect the victim.
Dennis Prager has stated that the left destroys everything it touches. I totally agree with him. The left’s ideology is destroying our country. They embrace the ideals of communism and socialism, and they employ violence to achieve their political goals. This, by definition, makes them terrorists, and our government is failing to do its fundamental job of protecting us from it. The problem is the social contract is broken, but we keep trying to live as if its intact.
The question, as Sean Connery’s character in The Untouchables put it is “What are you prepared to do about it?” The teacher’s conduct was proper until the student escalated the situation to physical contact and assault. The teacher was within her rights to defend herself at that point. She should have used her substantial weight and strength advantage to fight back. The 9 year old on the bus being assaulted violently by a 14 year old has limited options, but covering up and taking a beating shouldn’t be one of them. The bus driver could have helped out immensely by doing a brake check so that the standing violent attackers were thrown off balance. Then he should have parked and rescued that child taking a beating. Kids should be put in combat sports like wrestling, Jujitsu, and Krav Maga. They’re going to need these skills as our country continues to fall apart under leftist ideology.
I’m currently reading ‘When Violence is the Answer’ by Tim Larkin. I’ve known intuitively my entire life what he explains, which is that violence is just a tool. I’m sure this led me to martial arts, becoming a gun dealer and proficient shooter, and into the corporate and personal security fields. Violence, like a gun or a knife, has no moral compass. It can be used for good or evil.
Note to free men and women: In most of our life encounters, de-escalation and avoidance is the answer. But when violence is the answer, it’s the only answer! And you need to train for that moment! Leftists are bullies, and like most bullies, use violence and intimidation successfully because people are too passive to fight back. But once punched in the face, most bullies learn the error of their ways. We have a right and a moral obligation to defend ourselves and our families.
